1998 CR-V rattling noise while decelerating - Manual transmission
Hi, Wondering if this happened to anyone. There is a rattling noise from what seems the front driver's side and only when I release the gas pedal in first and second gear.
The noise is similar to the ratchet noise produced by the gas cap and will only stops when I push on the clutch pedal or accelerate.
I must add that I removed the propeller shaft and rear differential and rear axles and now have a 2wd CR-V. Could it have an impact on the gears backlash?
Could it be related to this? : http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/shared/lib...-054/index.htm
Thank you!

Hi acmech52, thank's for your reply. I had a third party cat installed 2 years ago and nothing is loose on that side...
Since the 1st of july, I am parking in a sloped driveway going down. When I start backing up from the driveway I can hear the 'cricketty'-rattle sound as well for a moment.
