Default DIY help pls

I have a coolant leak and after taking off the front cowl/shielding (what a pain, every clip broke off so have to buy new ones) i have tracked it to a hose that enters the thermostat housing from the water pump (i believe)

There is no way to get at this hose without taking out the radiator. Even then i dont know where the other end of the hose is attached and whether i can get at it without doing a lot of other parts removal

Has anyone done this and can provide some guidance? I dont want to pull the rad etc and then find out i have to pull 6 other parts off. If its a real PITA then i will just take it to my local wrench and get him to do it

Many thanks
