Default 02 Honda accord LX - RPM drop on startup & Engine clunking

My car I notice has a rhythmic clunking noise now, one that isn't what you would typically hear in some cars. It can drive with the clunking noise too I don't notice any apparent threat to my car just the noise being much more louder than your typical rhythmic noises from the engine bay. Along with it I notice when I startup my car my RPMs will go to the normal around 1,000RPM idle but drop to around 250RPM after 1 second of being on seeming like its going to stall and comes back up to a little over 1,000RPM idle.

Now before any of this about 5 days ago I had a check engine light (See Picture for troubleshooting of CEL). The thing is before I could even do any fixes my check engine light turned back off so I ignored anything that was on the check engine light list, could any of the things on it possibly have to do with my current problem? Thank you.

UPDATE: Checked all the spark plugs to see if thay are firing and they are, but as I go to put all my spark plugs in and drive off my car stalled out in traffic and ever since the engine will not turn over. What should I do from here?

welcome to the forum. check for the 3 items needed for ignition, air, spark, fuel. if you have air and fuel, then check for timing belt conditon or if it jumped. on the 02 accord ( if ) you have a timing belt, it may have jumped or stripped out.

clunking noise could be your connecting rod bearing, how many miles do you have and when did the noise start.

If you keep driving on a misfire (which you did) you could cause damage to the lower end.

Does the motor turn over still? If your bearing is out then it will sound like someone is hitting a sludge hammer inside the motor. Check your plugs, wires, distributor, fuel injector, etc.

Can you do a compression check?
