hello i have a 2000 honda accord automatic. and im having a problem with my tranny. i can start the car, put it in drive and start to move, but about the time it wants to shift into second gear it jolts really bad and the check engine light will come on and the d4 light will start blinking. from that point on i can give it gas and it will move and gain speed but very slowly and will not go over about 2000 rpms. its like its stuck in first gear somehow. im not sure what it could be. any suggestions? all help is greatly appreciated.

 

First off check the fluid level,if good have the fluid flushed,i had a reverse problem with mine some years ago after a flush the problem went aeay.sometimes trash can effect the shifting and flushing gets it out.
