What does this setting on the headlamp control do on a 2016 Accord EX-L ? It is NOT the Auto High/Low Beam feature, available ONLY on the Touring model, which the Owners Manual talks about. No mention in the OM of it's function on all other Accord models.

Does it cause the headlamps to come on automatically when it gets dark, and go off when it gets light. If left in the AUTO position and the car not driven for an extended period, could it run down the battery ?



Got the answer from dealership: It allows the lights to come on, or go off automatically when the car is turned on or off respectively, or if it gets dark (on) or light (off). Dealership found the question of whether it might run down the battery if left in AUTO when the car is not driven for an extended period, and is investigating.
