Default How do I enter the radio code on a 2007 EX-L

I have my 5 digit radio code but am having problems entering it.
I have read several answers on the web but they do not work.
Can anyone assist me?

Here is what I have done:
Disconnect battery cable for 2 minutes.
Turn on key to accessories
Press radio power to on
CODE appears
My 5-digit code starts with a 5.
I press the radio preset button that has a 5 on it.
(My radio does not have a tune dial)
It come back as error 1
I press a 5 again and I get C, press 5 again get O, press 5 again get D, press 5 again get E, press 5 again get error 2 etc etc

Default Answer from Honda Corp - entering the radio code

I was able to get the answer from Honda.
Here is the trick.
See the problems/errors I had encountered in the initial message.
Once you hear a beep - start entering the 5-digit code from scratch in using the preset buttons.
Sorry for posting this and answering it myself. Thought this may help someone else with a 2007 Accord (no navigation).
