Default Instrument Cluster

I'm using talk to text so forgive me if things aren't spelled properly. I recently bought a Honda accord off of craigslist, and it had a lot of problems. The first problem is that the odometer isn't working. I pulled out the instrument cluster and found that the odometer had been tampered with. In the process I must have damaged the fuel gauge because once I put it back in it always says the car has a full tank. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to buy a whole new instrument cluster. I planned on buying a new instrument cluster anyway because the odometer isn't working well this also solve the fuel gauge issue. It's just my commuter so I'm not going to dump A bunch of money into it but I do want things to work properly

welcome to the forum. you can go to the salvage yard and get a good fuel guage, and replace the odometer but take the last known milage and the one from the replacement odometer and keepa record in your glove box for future use.
