Default d16y7 to d16y8 help

Hi i have a 98 Honda civic with a d16y7 engine with a manual transmission. I am going to swap this out for a d16y8(vtech) engine and it has an automatic transmission. I plan to remove this automatic transmission and install the manual transmission off of my d16y7. Having said that i have a few questions.

Is this going to work since the manual transmission went off of a vtech engine?

Can i use my cars original computer or do i need a different one?

Any other tips/advice would have greatly appreciated

you can use the manual tranny off the y7. You need to take off the flywheel off the y7 and put it on the y8. Between auto and manual the flywheels are different. You do need the computer for the y8 cause it is v- tec. If you use the y7 the motor won't run right. Now I think you also need a wiring harness because of the v- tec solenoid, and I think you need to get a manual transmission y8 wiring harness. I've done swaps before so I think I have everything right, if not then I'm sorry for any misinformation.
