The competition of Low Multi-Purpose Vehicles (LMPV) in 2014 in Indonesia will be even more heated after Honda announces that it will release its top-class LMPV in the first semester of that year. This new Honda LMPV will be called Honda Mobillio. The prototype of this LMPV has already been shown during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2013 in Jakarta. Indonesian customers become the first customers to see this newly released LMPV.

The Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has stated that based on the survey, this LMPV will become customers’ favorite. Honda indeed has carried out extensive survey before releasing this vehicle. The survey covers every feature that customers want Honda to add to its next LMPV. At a glance, this vehicle seems to be quite similar to Honda Freed, a multi-purpose vehicle that Honda released in 2008; however, as the director emphasizes, the Mobilio LMPV will not compete with Freed because each has its own targeted market.

So what makes this LMPV special? What are the features of this LMPV that urge customers to buy it? This vehicle can accommodate 7 passengers; therefore, it is a great option for people looking for a comfortable family vehicle. The exterior design of this car appears much stronger and tougher than that of most multi-purpose vehicles available today. This car is powered by 1.5 L SOHC 4 in-line cylinder engine. For an MPV, this car is considered among the most powerful in its class. This car is equipped with safety and entertainment system that includes Audio system, Double Blower AC, and Dual Airbags. This car also has great acceleration due to its modified front wheels structure.

The only disadvantageous feature of this car is that it is not equipped with rear wheel drive. However, this disadvantage is actually negligible because this car is designed to be driven on city roads, where front wheel drive is enough to make the car move smoothly.
