Default Pilot Tire Size and Its Affect

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to post my question. My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Pilot. Because we live in the snow belt region of NW Michigan, I plan to buy snow tires for this vehicle. The OEM tire size is 245/60/r18. If I ran 225/60/r18's on the car, the tire calculator I've used for my research is saying there is a circumference difference of almost 3" less, resulting in about 22 more revolutions per mile. My question is would this harmful to the vehicle's transmission and anything else that might be affected by the reduced tire size? Thanks for your insights.

Welcome in,I run over sized tires on most all my vehicles and the only thing I notice is the speedo will be off because of the revolutions, your case will be the opposite meaning it will show faster than actual speed.this will also affect the odometer. As far as harming anything I don't think so. I have been switching tire sizes for years with no problems

Well, except for the speed lose it also taxes the suspension a bit.
