Default Parking Pilot On Steep Hill - Bad For Transmission or Drivetrain?

I'm convinced my 2002 Civic was negatively impacted by parking it on a steep downhill for many years. I just bought a 2016 Pilot and don't want it to meet the same fate. Is my concern valid?

Try applying the parking brake before place the car in park, you should do that anyway,I have seen cars jump out of park and roll down hill too many times, turn your wheels into the curb for added security.
