Hi all,

i start having this problem last night, my alarm went off several times while parked in the parking, i have no idea why.

Not sure if this is related, but about 2, 3 days ago when i lock the car it didn't make the bip and the flashing light, i thought maybe the battery was low or something like that, today after i realized what happened with the battery, i opened the hood and then closed it and suddenly the bip and flashing light started again when i locked the car.

But the alarm went off again few minutes later.

Any idea ? Thanks

 

I doubt there's anything wrong with the cars electrical system. And I'm more of an engine guy than an electrical guy so I could be off. But it sounds like you have a bad sensor, that detects when the door is opened to sound the alarm. I had the same problem, I don't think it costed much to fix, my mom paid for it so I didn't know.

 

is the alarm OEM or after market ???
