Default Honda accord LX 2004 24PMG

Hi All,

I'm wondering if my Honda is consuming more gas that it should be, with one tank I can barely do 600KM (city with some HYW), It has 149K and I just did an oil change and changed the air filter too.
I'm also wondering if it help if I use an auto fluid to clean the engine.

Thanks

typically when you start to loose mpg on a higher mileage car thats kept in proper working condition and all the maintenance has been done i usually suspect the primary oxygen sensor there only good for around 60,000 miles. after that they get dirty and clog drastically reducing MPG. alsu you didn't mention that you replaced the spark plugs that would be part of your normal maintenance. also check your tire pressure low pressure will give you worse mpg. if you decide to replace the oxygen sensor or plugs remember to only use DENSO or NGK plugs and only DENSO or NTK sensors.
