Default 1997 crv

The dealer wants $600 to replace the rear control arm bushings! are they made of gold!

has anyone a picture of the arm from say a manual?

Also they want to machine the brake discs as they have hot spots. what are hot spots?

vehicle has 60K miles on it.
and 20K miles being towed behind an RV.

other than spark plugs, tires and battery, everything is original.

thanks all

1997 original battery? The battery is more than 21 years old?
If original NGK spark iridium/platinum plugs then they can go 100k

Usually machining disc brake rotor is cheaper then replacement
But, I would rather have new rotors

Dealers wants a lot of money for the rear control arm bushings.
Most of it must be for labor???
Usually just replace the entire control arm

It is hard to argue with dealer pricing if you don't have another choice
Either bring it to another place for free quote or DIY?????
If you DIY then you can save a lot of money.
Buy parts yourself and save and do the work yourself and save
