Default 2004 crv driver's lock?

I just purchased a 2004 crv, actually my first 4-tired Honda ever! Why does the driver's door ONLY lock with the keyless entry, manually locking it with a key or with the passenger side power door lock button? Thanks.

The only way the driver's door will lock is with the key fob, locking the door with the key or hitting the lock button from the passenger side power lock button.

So, you can not manually lock the driver's door at the driver's door?
From the inside?

I can only lock my driver's door with the key fob, key in lock cylinder or using the lock buttons

Correct. If you use the power lock button on the driver's door, all 3(4 counting the rear door)other doors lock, but the driver's door will not lock. You can't even push down the lock at this point. Weird, I know.

This is only a suggestion ...

Okay, sounds like the actuator is messed up.
Probably need replacement??
Found at auto parts store to cost around $65 dollars
Found on Amazon or Rockauto to cost around $15 dollars
Plenty of youtube videos on how to do the replacement

Note: Would suggest using an impact screwdriver to get screws out of door lock
Tool cost around $45 dollars at auto parts store
Or cost around ten bucks at Harbor freight.

Good luck

Is your door open while u are trying to do this. Is there a door ajar light on the dash? U will not be able to push the lock pin on driver door down with the door open (if door is open you must pull drivers door handle (inside car) and hold the handle out while pushing the lock pin down) I dont beleive the door lock actuator would cause this as it will still function properly when using the fob or pass side door to lock it.. If im understanding correctly.. If the actuator was the cause it would only lock when using the key or pushing the pin down inside the car. (Fob wouldnt lock it ...power lock buttons inside both doors would not lock it.

Yes, the door is open. If the door stays closed, I can use the power lock button as properly intended. Currently the vehicle is at my mechanic's. When I get it back I will try your suggestion. Thank you for your reply.
