Wink 2008 Honda CRV

My check engine light was on so I had a diagnostic's test performed to assess the problem. The codes that came back were P0134 - Bank 1 Sensor 1 (O2 sensor) is not responding and P1157 - fuel air metering. Can you tell me what these codes mean in terms of what problems we are looking at, and how to fix these problems ourselves? My husband is very mechanically inclined and can fix the problem, if we know what the problem is.
