2014 CR-V automatic transmission chugging
I have the 2014 CR-v with the older style 5 speed automatic and at 35K miles I have developed a chugging in third gear (I think)
I am not sure of where to go. I have checked the oil, it's clean and full, and it seems to do this cold or hot. All I can do is back out of the gas pedal or punch out of it. It seems like it wants to shift into forth but is unsure.
Any thoughts?

Did you ever find out what the issue was. I am having same problem with 2014 crv as well as a 2013 civic. No one on forums has said for sure how to solve the problem. Some say transmission ecu reflash, some change tranny fluid every 30k and some say it's the torque converter.
I had the Memory Update and they did change the oil at 34K. It lasted a few weeks and started getting worse again. By 42K I couldn't stand it again and took it back.
They did a diagnostic at 42K which would cost me $67. if there was nothing wrong. They picked that up because the Torque Converter failed diagnostics. They ended up replacing the torque converter the next day in five hours. No charge for drive train fix.
I have had people tell me that driving in econ mode takes the converter out. I do not have any evidence of that being true, but...
I do not use econ mode anymore, gas savings is almost nil anyway, car drives like a dream and shifts like it should.
This is an $1800. repair, under warranty thank goodness. Good luck all. Honda stood behind their product. Jerry in Charleston.

Thanks for the info, glad to hear you got the issue resolved . I was hoping it was as simple as a ecu reflash or fluid change . Still have drive train warranty on one of my vehicles with the problem . I wouldn't t discount the Econ theory . I could see that possibly being a cause.
I used it like religion before the new Torque Converter. The guy that told me that isn't any better mechanic than we are, just his opinion. I am avoiding it because I see it not being necessary. In stop and go traffic in traffic jams, the CR-V functions much better with it off.

Good luck getting this resolved soon.
