2014 crv starting issues

Hello everyone.
New to the forums. Thanks for the add.
My issue is no start no crank. We use a key to start. Kind of strange. We will get in the car and turn the key and all lights turn on as they should but the starter does nothing. I'll do the same thing again and the car will start with no issue.
Pulled into the marina and went out for a few hours then came back to the same exact issue. Turn the key and nothing. Again, all lights and everything are functioning, but the car doesn't click or do anything. Turn the key off and try again and the car starts fine. My wife told me that this has been happening for about a week or so. The starter engages the flywheel (when it turns) normally without noise or grinding. Ignition switch, Starter Relay, Starter Solenoid, or complete starter? I saw a couple of videos on starter replacement and it doesn't look too bad, but it still looks like a PITA.
Thanks
Dave

Sounds like the ignition switch.

Before replacing anything, try this ...
Clean the battery posts. Clean the cable terminals.
Check near the terminals, under the insulation, for corrosion (green crusties)
Follow the negative cable to chassis ground and clean contact points.

The reasoning is that corrosion, visible or not, can limit the current flow. Turn the key, it could allow enough current to flow for headlights
But, may not allow enough current to flow for the starter to run. Turn the key again, the current flow this time is enough to start the engine.

Other reasons the engine won't crank, ...
The park/neutral safety switch is faulty (doubtful)
The starter cut relay is faulty (can happen and is difficult to get to)
Corrosion on electrical connectors (sometimes on battery and other times on starter)
Ignition switch (test first, make sure before replacing parts)

Good luck
