97 CRV Power window issues.... need help,...

Working on my daughter's 97 CRV. The passenger side window stopped working. It rolled down but wouldn't go up. Seemed like it was a motor issue, replaced it, Same thing. Got a used master switch, and swapped the front and rear switches at the door. Still will go down but not up. If I ground one pin on the motor plug and power to the other, I can get it to go up, then swap the ground and hot and go down. So maybe a short in a wire somewhere? Anyone have any ideas? I don't want to replace a bunch of wiring. Anything obvious I'm missing? Maybe a ground before the switch is bad? Anyone know which wire is the ground, maybe I can just ground it to a bolt on the door?
Need to get it done, she needs her car back.
Thanks!

I just finished repairing the door wire loom in my wifes 2000 CRV. I suspect that you have a broken wire in the wire loom coming from the left side of the dashboard to the left front door. To confirm this, you will need to remove the drivers door inside panel to get at the wire plug for the power window motor. There are four wires in the plug and you need to test continuity from those wires to the wires on plug on the back of the master window switch on the dash. There are a bunch of wires there and you will have to find the wires that match the color of the 4 at the motor plug. There should be black, blue, red/blue, and red/yellow wire. The red/blue wire is the window UP wire, The red/yellow wire is the window Down wire. You will, however have to confirm continuity on all four of the wires. I know it's not what you want to hear, but the wires tend to break off right at the plug door.
Of course I want to make sure that I am just guessing here and no guaranty that I'm right, but I have repaired 3 CRV's that had this problem. If you need to ask me anything, please pm me and I will try to help! I have pics of the connectors and wiring that will give you an idea of the amount of work this entails.
