Brake fluid

I am looking to flush the brake fluid on my 2006 HONDA CR-V 4WD, but I cannot find to buy Honda Heavy Duty DOT-3 Brake Fluid. The Oil Stores offer only DOT-4 fluid. Can anyone tell me that I can use that kind of fluid, or what else? I have no acces to a Honda Dealer Service Shop. Thank You!

You should use DOT3 but if not available use heavy duty DOT3 or 4.

I'm telling that what recommends HONDA USER GUIDE is clear, but I will find an alternative more helpful. What they recommend to me is DOT 4, 750 ml for a full flush.
Could that be right? Thank You

2006 cr-v owners manual says to use DOT 3 "Honda Fluid" you can get honda fluid from the internet honda dealers selling them, shipped to you. don't need a dealer in your area. and use as much as needed to do a full flush. The manual also says if you use and aftermarket oil, it may cut the life of the unit down.

hondas are very picky when it comes to certain fluids other then engine oil and washer fluid only use honda fluid.

I just bled the brakes on my 2010 civic using honda brake fluid. Members on other forum seem to think that most brands heavy duty dot 3 , even dot 4 is ok. I will not substitute other brands for the transmission fluid, steering pump fluid and radiator coolant .
