Car Won't Go Into Gear
So I was having a problem getting car into gear, if I pumped the clutch it would go, so I assumed Master or Slave cylinder.
I ended up replacing both. I then adjusted clutch pedal and bled system (going through like 2 quarts of brake fluid). The clutch "feels" great - it has good pressure, returns good, etc... but it will not go into gear still. The internet says this is usually a symptom of bleeding but when bleeding I'm really not seeing any bubbles come out anymore. Now even when pumping I can't get into gear (I can change gears fine if car is off). Is there anything else I should look for? |
We use a pressure bleeder and as it's pushing fluid through we tap on the MC and the line going to the slave. This gets out micro bubbles.

Thank you for the reply! The issue did end up being more bleeding - I basically tried every combination of bleeding techniques, tapping the cylinders and lines, vacuum bleeding, pumping pedal fast etc... so something finally worked.
