Default Central Locking (Power locking) Problem

I have a 1998 CRV ls 2.0l, and quite recently, the locking system started playing up. The remote works every time, but whenever I unlock and open the doors, the locking system keeps 'clunking' even when I'm driving, but after a while it stops - until I open the door again to get out. It happens when you open any door. I thought it might be a relay problem but I can't find the part of the electrics that controls the locks. Anyone know where to look, or, had this problem before and it wasn't the locks control?
Cheers, Wyn

Most likely the master switch may be shorted, did you get water on it or spill a drink?

Default Power locking problem

No spills or drinks etc. It appeared one morning after being parked up overnight but prior to that was working OK. It still opens and locks using either the remote or the key, but when you open the car, the locks seem to keep repeating the opening movement. At first I thought it was the remote, so I took the battery out and left it in the house while I went to the car and opened it with just the key, but the problem continued.
You mention the 'master switch' that controls the locks. Where is that likely to be?

First, the factory inimitable remote doesn't operate something, even with a new set of battery. ... What I do not appreciate is the way the right side mechanism are drama and why both driver's doors don't work. If a person has a idea about what's going on, please give advice on what you believe to be the problems and what procedure would be best to verify these are in fact the issues................
