CRV with 14,600 Miles Air Conditioner Compressor goes out
 

Purchased from Honda World in Louisville Kentucky in February 2018. Vehicle purchased was a 2018 CRV--36 month "warranty"--AC goes out 2 months after warranty is up.

VEHICLE HAS 14,600 MILES ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HONDA TELLS YOU THAT THEIR VEHICLES ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN FORD OR CHEVY ---JUST TO GET YOU TO BUY ONE---WHEN YOU GO BACK TO THEM WITH THE ISSUE (AC GOES OUT WITH 14,600 MILES) ALL THEY CAN SAY IS "WELL, HONDAS ARE NOT BULLETPROOF" ---"HOW ABOUT WE SELL YOU THIS $1,000 WARRANTY WHILE YOU ARE HERE".. THEY MUST NOT HAVE MUCH CONFIDENCE IN THEIR VEHICLES IF THEY THINK YOU NEED A WARRANTY ON A VEHICLE WITH 14,600 MILES......BUY A FORD OR A CHEVY....SAVE A LOT OF MONEY--HONDA IS NOT ALL THAT.

welcome to the forum. have you tried American Honda and put in a complaint. sometimes they will advise the dealership to fix what is broken due to only 2 months out of warranty.and low milage, also check to see if there were any recalls on the a/c unit.. the $1000.00 warranty are for people who wish to not worry about who's going to pay for the expensive parts and labor, or have a lack of knowledge of how to repair their car. sorry to hear of your compressor failure.
