Default Crv 2020 ex mpg

I just bought a 2020 CRV EX and the MPG is suppose to be 28 city and 34 highway. I've been driving it for now a month and a half but the max mpg I seem to be getting is 23. Anyone else seen this issue?

welcome to the forum. if you drive with an egg on the gas pedal, windows closed, fan for vent, level road, tire inflated to approx 36#, outside temp about 75 degrees, speeds of max 55-65, 2 wheel drive, washed and polished, tires all alighned properly, no stop and goes, and engine broken in 500+ miles. you might find the milage you are looking for. i have a honda Fit, milage is 38 hwy. level and no a/c max speed 65 tires at 36# windows closed vent on, i can get up to 40 miles to a gallon., easy on the gas pedal.

I have a 2021 AWD and average 20.8 mpg. I pretty much only drive around town.

It all depends on how you drive and where you drive it. On the highway with straight non-ethanol 87 octane gas I was showing 37.5 mpg. That was after I topped the tank off and reset the instrument miles. In the city it's more like 26 or you can get better than that by using econ and auto engine stop on. But what seriously affects your mileage is how heavy your foot is in the gas pedal. If you are flooring it off the line from a stop and got a lot of stops in the city your gas mileage is going to suck. The reason my gas was so good on highway was because the only weight in the car was me at 145lbs with one suitcase and no other cargo or passengers. I have the 2020 EXL.

During the cold, winter months (I live in Minnesota), I averaged around 27 mpg driving on the interstate with the cruise set at 75 mph. Now that it has warmed up a bit (mid 40s), I'm consistently getting 33+ mpg on the interstate. In town, I've found that accelerating more leisurely is the key to higher gas mileage - any time the turbo kick in, gas mileage drops.

I got some new Mileage to report from a Highway Trip to Tennessee. Trip was from Greenville S.C. to Wears Valley, T.N. (153) miles mostly on the Interstate traveling 55 to 70 mph most of the way.

Topped off with 87 octane gas with (NO ETHANOL) added. Got (33.5 mpg) on that trip.
