Default Crv lx 2025

Am considering buying a 2025 CRV LX.

however this model does not appear to have an in-dash navigation.

is there any way to successfully add it without upgrading to a much higher model?

thanks

No. Even if it did have “honda nav” you would not be happy with it.

What the base model does have is Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Soooo, you can use Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze which all work better.

Happy Motoring

I use Apple Car Play and my iPhone maps. It works well unless you are in the rare place with absolutely no service. Only happed once in forest by Beaver Bend Oklahoma but they gave us a map of the local area there so not a big deal. I like it better than the 2021 I traded for my 2024 CR-V EX. I got tired of having to update the maps and eventually having to pay for updates.

Default Here App on Apple Play

Does Apple Play support the Here app? The app works like a Garmin. Uses satellite signals, does not require any cellular data access.

The App is actually called Here WeGo.
It was working with CarPlay but in August there was a glitch that prevented that. Don’t know if it is fixed yet.
The App uses a cellular location services for GPS connection OR off line maps.

Default HereWeGo

I've been using it for years, since before they changed the name to HWG. Really like it. We're right now in the bargaining phase and it seems like my sales guy only sells at MSRP and list so it may take a while. So it looks like for now there's a glitch in supporting it. Won't be a major issue since we just use the app on the phone if I don't have the Garmin with me.

Thanks for the info.

Among other things it's good for is walking directions. You do have to download a map of your area but I just download my state map and when I go overseas, or any foreign country, I download those maps. It sometimes cant find what I want because it may be spelled differently but generally I've had no problem. When I first heard about it I was on a tour in Croatia and Bosnia and our guide offered to help us find our rental apartment. She starts the app, enters the address, and then we start walking. 10 minutes later we're there. I was impressed because it was just like having a Garmin and it cost nothing. No cell data and it mapped every street as we walked. It also tells you how long it will take. It does the same if you're driving. Slick piece of software.

Just purchased our new CR-V. I went into CarPlay and the Here app showed up. On my phone I put in a route and the Car Play system displayed my phone and the app worked perfectly. Voice directions nice, etc. You might want to retry it again.

The information I posted that, in the past, the car play interface was not working came from the developer, not my experience. I’m glad to hear that it has been fixed and is working for you.
