Default Dash Cam

Does anybody have the Honda OEM Fit Dashcam Premium Front Recording Camera 4K ? Looking for a good dash cam that won't break my bank.
I drive a 2024 Hybrid Touring.

Are you asking for a Honda OEM dashcam for a Fit or are you asking about this?

I have a Gen 5 so it is different.
Also notable are statements from your posts where you were getting a B16 engine which is not a USA option and where your V was/is a 2022.

So confusing…

Thank you Just Ducky, I have been looking for a decent Dashcam for my 2024 Gen 6 CR-V EX. This looks like a good one!

Just Ducky, what made you settle on the unit above on Amazon? Is it a good one? Some reviews are very good and some very bad. I wonder if some of the bad ones they may have ordered the wrong model?

Long story… So I had the Rove in my Motorhome and found it to be unreliable. It was recording intermittently for some reason. I also did not want wires draped from the top of the windshield all the way down to the center console.

In my V the only power outlet is in the center arm rest. I have 2 USB’s but need one for carplay as I do not have wireless. The other is claimed by my DW so wiring would then require a Dongar which is available for Gen 5. Still would have a wire harness and a windshield suction cup.

The fitcamx has the same high quality resolution as the Rove but eliminates the dash wiring completely. It also eliminates the easily pilfer-able aspect of a windshield mount along with suction cup failure issues.

While I would need to tap into the map light if I want parking mode, I do not need that function. I also plan on putting the Rove in my former toad to see if I can get it working with a new/faster Mini SD.

Keep in mind that I do not have the same unit as in the link so my experiences may not be applicable and I have not used it to date. Will not be until May when we take our next car trip. Our V is basically a garage queen.

just a heads up, if your vehicle is under warranty, and you install anything, you may loose your warranty. check with the dealership service department before to get the ok to install. they may say we will install to keep your warranty.

That is good advice from the capo di tutti although you would not lose your warranty in total.

Anyway, I was reading up on the FitcamX operation and read some fine print where it states that some models do not need the wiring harness to make the parking sensor operational.

Turns out that the ‘22 Hybrid Touring has the large overhead console that uses the 3 pin harness which plugs into the map lights.

That has un-switched power so when I went into the App settings and turned the parking sensor on it worked!
