Door Edge Protection - 2016 CR-V
I see that my paint is starting to get hit on the door edges because my many times my wife's car it too far over. I am also leaving surface marks on her door. I bought some door edge strips like I had on mt 2003 CR-V but it seems the doors on this one have a wider, possibly two layers, width making it impossible to get these on. I then found some that were made for SUVs & trucks thinking they may have a wider slot, but no dice.
I am trying to find out if I have a unique situation or if there is a kind that others have found. When I called the parts department at the dealer they seemed to understand and said they had ones that fit. I was quoted $130. Not sure if that included installation, but it seemed astronomically high.
Just looking for any suggestions.
Thanks

Tony try Ebay,I just looked it up and there is some that fits the CRV for $17.i had the same problem with my Corvette because of the composite body which in thicker than the metal most cars are made of,I can't find the seller on eBay I bought mine from but there are plenty choices.

Honda's Genuine Accessory Door edge guards are pre-painted to match the body color.. that's why they're going to be more than an aftermarket equivelent.
BTW we sell the OEM ones for 63.00 plus installation at our store.
