Default Door lock issue

Folks - I have two door lock issues on my 2008 LX...

1. Passenger side power door lock button/switch does not engage the locking mechanism. Yes, I can operate the passenger side lock from the button/switch on the driver's side panel.

So the door lock will lock and unlock but just not from the passenger side.

Do you think it's just a switch problem? If so, I am hoping that is something I can replace without taking to shop.

2. The driver's side door lock will not unlock when using a key. No idea what that is all about.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

welcome to the forum. 1. do check the switch first, then the solenoid that actuates the lock. 2. need to check to see if the clip has fallen off the inside of the door panel.

Also you might check to see if a lead has worked its way loose from the switch, that happened to me years ago.

Thanks guys....I'll take a look. Sounds like it might not be a major issue.

Had the same problem. Did everything to my knowledge to try and fix it but didn't work. I had this locksmith to take a look at it and he fixed it pretty well.

I fixed the issue and got another.

First, replacing the master switch panel cured the front passenger window. Rear passenger replaced the actuator fixed it.
Now, the drivers window always has power. Even after retained power limit has passed. Causes me concern because if I leave the window open a crack someone can put a stick in and lower the window.

Could this be a problem with the function of the new master switch panel?
