Help identifying wire(s?) behind battery 1998crv (photo attached)

Hey all,

been driving this 98 crv for about a year and have had some power issues that I think I’ve mostly fixed but I saw this red cable that’s loose behind my battery, removed the battery stand and frame and I can’t figure out where it’s running to.

it’s at 171k so could be a lot of repairs on top of each other and wondering if this is redundant or if I’m missing a ground. Maybe it’s the old positive terminal for the battery?

any help is appreciated!

If it's going through the bulkhead it's for an aftermarket devise.

so is it possible an owner in the past had this wired to something and it’s just a loose cable now then?

I don't think it's factory. Look inside and see where it goes.

Two eyelet terminals with red insulation. Believe since it is near the battery that someone used it to power up their devices.
Since ownership changed hands, the device may have been removed.
Most people use this type of cables for heavy current draw. Could be for an audio amp???
