HUMMING SOUND honda CR-V 2002 with 200+++ mileage AT

just a quick info.. if cold start there's no sound.. then once you drive it for a couple of minutes the sound starts appearing. It normally appears 700rpm and above but below 700 rpm the sound is gone... This is both in Idle and in moving. And the sound appears everytime you press on the accelerator where it goes up to 700 rpm.

The best part is we already remove the drive belt to see if it's one of the pulleys from the alternator , water pump etc but still the sound still there.

another thing is I have this sound with air intake and with stock intake.

Please help maybe somebody experienced this and can give me an Idea. Thanks!

If Im hearing the same sound youre speaking of.. Sounds like thet Air intake tuning tube is dis-connected. or possibly an air leak into the air intake chamber.. it makes a strange sound like thar one you describe .

Hope that helps point you in the right direction to find the source. :)

Hi Thanks for the response.. its the sound on the video like hmmmmmm - hmmmmm that's every time you step on the pedal and then let go.. but I have an air intake before the sound appears.. so I change it back to stock with new air intake tube and still the same.. Bad thing is I remove the drive belt and start the car the sound still there.

one more thing.. even thou you're not pressing you gas pedal as long as you're crusing down hill and your rpm is above 700 rpm I can still hear the sound. :) and it makes me nuts.. LOL..

But i'll check the intake system thanks!
