I did the most repulsive thing.
Yes, I went through an "automatic carwash". It tore off my rear window wiper blade, arm, everything. We recovered the parts but they were destroyed. Dealer cost to fix it was about $300! I went on a quest to do it myself. The problem was parts availability. Once I got the parts though, I found a video that helped, and was I able to fix it myself for a fraction of the cost. I thought I'd share it here just in case others could benefit.
I'm never going through those carwashes ever again!
welcome to the forum. I use to work at a car wash that had the attendants wash cars with a wool mitt. if we saw a vehicle come in with a rear windshield wash we would hold the rear brush back by hitting a button to stop it. I still washed and washed my own cars, rarely used a car wash.
