Long drive on on Honda CRV 2005
 

Hello,

I bought an used Honda CrV 2005 with around 90 000 miles on it from a reputed dealter and I need to drive it from Orlando to Dallas TX (around 12000 miles, 17 hrs drive.).
I am planning to take break of few hours at rest areas but will be doing such a long drive for the first time.

Need to know if some body can give tips to take care while doing such long drive. Questions like for how many miles , I can drive such car continously at one stretch before taking a break and if I take a break to cool down the engine, how much time would be sufficient.

Hope you have a safe, enjoying trip. The CR-V can be driven continous, refuel and keep on driving. Before you take the drive check to see that all fluids are up to snuff, and being it is a new vehicle to you, check to see the oil and trans level at the first few refuel. then you can tell if the engine is using oil and fill accordingly. keep in touch on the CR-V condition during the trip, if you need assistance.Drive safe.
