New CRV and user
Hi guys,
My name is Federico and I live in Miami, FL. This is my first post!
I just got myself a used 2001 CR-V AWD. The thing is extremely pretty and apparently in excellent shape. The engine does not seem to be burning oil at all, and it runs great!
Since the vehicle has some good 144,000 miles, I imagine it'll be wise to perform some preventive and non preventive maintenance.
I have already replaced the Cabin Air Filter because the A/C fan felt weak. You can't imagine how *not-clean* it was. Probably the factory filter.
Now, what I have in mind is:
I'm using premium 93 octane fuel. The manual says 86 or higher, but the small price difference doesn't bother me at all if it's any good for the car/engine and increases its performance. Opinions? What do you guys think? Also, should I run a bottle of Red-Line injectors cleaner?
Thanks in advance!

Now, what I have in mind is:
- Good Oil - Castrol High Mileage (10W-40? [manual says 10W-30 for Miami temps])
- Good Oil Filter - ? Maybe K&N?
- Good Air Filter - Again, K&N?
- Spark Plugs - recommendations? OEM?
- Transmission fluid - Should I even touch it?
- You guys tell me! What else?

welcome to the forum. You are doing well on up keep of the crv. oem spark plugs are good and check with the owners manual on the trans fluid but be sure to use " Honda Fluid" only nothing else. All else will fail the transmission. oil and air filter your choice.
