New Member Considering a 2016 CR-V
Hello to the forum,
My wife and I decided this week to replace our 2003 Grand Caravan.
Here is what I am considering:
Buying a used CR-V around 2007 model year with a little more than 100,000 miles.
Buying a used KIA Sorento around 2013 model year with around 60,000 to 80,000 miles.
Leasing a new CR-V. Payments would be approximately $70 more per month for the next 3 years and about the same to finance for an additional 5 years after that. I understand this is more money in the long run. I leased a 2010 Honda Fit which I purchased a the end of the lease. It was a good option for me.
If I was confident the older CR-V would be problem free I would go with it. My research indicates that the CR-Vs can be less than reliable at higher miles. Very un Honda like. The Sorento has a good reputation for being problem free, but I really like Hondas.
Opinions? suggestions?

2016 - crv
I bought a 2006 CRV back in 2008 with 40K miles on it. I have 186k on it now and have been real happy with it. Other than normal maintenance and repair, no real expensive repairs except the clutch went at 160k (it is a manual transmission which I doubt they even make in CRV any more). Was just looking at the 2016 CRVs that are still on the lot and think they are reasonable price but going to hold on to my 2006 for now.

If you can find a new '16, Honda has a 1000 factory to dealer incentive. The dealer we purchased from gave us a R.E. Dickulous deal on a new '16 EX-L (no nav), 26,988 plus T&L. Had to say "yes".
