Poor acceleration
New to me, 35K miles, 2016 EX-LE AWD. Coming from Nissan Maxima with 265 HP vs CRV's 185 HP, acceleration is less than desired when I'm pulling into traffic. Is there a potential solution to this?
Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed. Thanks. |

That sux. I was at the dealership tonight, and noticed lots of 'cvt' Hondas on the lot. They're easy more expensive it seems. I'm not familiar with what it is or how it works.

There's an extra lag with driving-by-wire vehicles
I recently rented a couple of cars because mine was in the shop, and I noticed the throttle response was complete ****. I had to press the pedal half way before I'd get anything, then it would give me full throttle without me wanting it.
The second car was better, but in both there was a huge lag. I always had to hit the gas before I needed it. This is simply the case with drive-by-wire cars. By making a computer do the work for us, we now have to wait for the car to figure its **** out before it will move for us. Cable controlled throttles will always have better response. That's simply how it is. |
