Should I go for this deal on a used CR-V?

I'm totally new to the Honda world. Typically, I buy a used car and drive it into the ground. Exactly that happened this week when the UV joint fell out of my dear old '91 Saab 900. (Luckily it happened in the driveway and not on the road) Anyway, being fed up with the upkeep on European cars (our other car is a 91 Mercedes) my husband and I went to a Honda dealer today and found a 2000 CR-V with 63K miles, one owner, immaculate shape, new Michelin tires. They said we can have it for $7900 (including taxes, fees, title, emission, documentation, dealer fees, etc.). Any thoughts on whether this is as good a deal as we think it is, or TOO good a deal maybe? I really appreciate your feedback. We have to move fast. Thanks so much.

Vehicle may be selling low due to 7 year old car, dealers don't like to turn over older cars unless in great clean condition, normally they are whole-sale to "other" dealers. Check carfax if possible, or good test drive hard, and check for paint and under-carriage condition. See if they will give you a 6mos warrenty on the entire vehicle. This is a low milage vehicle, should have an average of 73k miles. Take the time to look at it good or take a mechanic friend who knows cars. Price is good if you like this type of vehicle.

hello there, i am new here too. just asking around for help regardingmy CRV. next thing, i learnt about your story. Go ahead and buy it, cos i got my at 9100!! but remember to check the undercarrige carefully. i only realised that my car has a deep dent during my undercarrige spray at silent proshop prevent it from rusting. i think it helps.
