What is this and what does it do? I see where it should be attached. The Honda Service team missed it when I brought the car in for noise.

Torsion bar connector. Should be on the shiny part of the bolt in foreground. Need a new one.

Torsion Bar?

I was thinking Sway Bar. What’s the difference between a Torsion Bar and a Sway Bar?

acmech52 09-06-2018 02:27 PM

on a honda you have a sway bar which is like a anti roll bar, hold the car more level around turns. torsion bar on the back is like a spring to help keep the wheels on the ground. on dodge/plymouth product, the front had torsion bars that ran the length of the frame that acted like a spring, on the back of most american cars the torsion bar was used to keep the rear axles from rotating on heavy acceleration like on a drag strip. sway bars normally do not take on weight stress but help stabalize the front and back or rolling motion. if you take look at wikipedia there are picture diagrams that may help.
