Will 17" wheels fit any CR-V?
 

I bought a used 2014 CR-V EX that came with 17" wheels. I bought a new set of 17" wheels, so I would like to sell the old ones. Can I sell these to someone who has 16" wheels on their CR-V currently? Or is there a big deal about putting larger size wheels on a car that isn't somehow equipped for that size?

if the lug holes are the same, the rim will fit, only thing to keep in mind is the milage may be a bit off depending on what size tires are used.

The rim may fit, or may not depending on the exact dimensions. If the rim is wider than the car's original wheels, or if it has a more negative offset, it won't work. If there's any way you can try mounting your wheels up to someone's CR-V of the year you want to sell them to, that would definitely tell you as long as you try to mount your wheels on the front AND rear (the fit is different between front and rear).

You can also measure your wheels and tires, and a wheel and tire you want to replace. The important dimensions are these:

Number of lug nuts,
Distance between lug nuts,
Size of center hole,
Horizontal distance between mounting surface of wheel and inner most part of rim and tire,
Outer tire Demeter.

You could also check to make sure the inside of the wheel has enough room for the brakes on the receiving car, but that's not usually a problem when putting newer wheels on older cars off the same model.
