Exhaust backfire

Default Exhaust backfire
I have a 2006 Honda shadow spirit 750, and it just started backfiring the other day, now it is getting worse. Any suggestions in what it might be?

welcome to the forum. back fire sometimes extra fuel into the system or timing out of adjustment.
