Removing nut on carberator
Hello,
I am trying to clean the carberator on a Honda 250 2006. The nut connecting the carb to the engine is stripped. Any ideas on how to get this thing off? Already tried 10 mm wrench, locking pliers, ratchet etc.. thanks! https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/hondafo...7d8163f1a.jpeg Super stripped nut, can’t get a grip on it. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/hondafo...7950d6ae9.jpeg Trying to remove the carb from the engine. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/hondafo...4c608896c.jpeg Difficult to fit tools in to get said nut |
welcome to the forum. tool called a nut cracker if you have enough room around the nut. appears a bit tight on the throat side. but it also appears you were trying a chisel and hammer, due to the nut looks to be cracking. continue to use a chisel and hammer. locking pliers you mean a vice grip.

Using locking pliers or vice grips, one needs to be careful
Putting too much pressure will only lock the nut on the stud tighter And that will make it even harder to move the nut. Seems you have been hitting the nut with a chisel and hammer I would suggest using the chisel to move the nut loose. That means using a different angle on the nut. There are stripped nut removers. Go on Amazon and search. Those can be used also. Good luck. |
