Default Saddlebags for a 2007 Shadow Spirit 1100

This model has dual exhaust on the right side. We want to mount throw over bags and they seem to hang to close to the muffler and will get burned. Has anyone done this sucessfully? With what brand and model of bag? What technique?

Thank you

Cool saddlebags for 2007 Shadow Spirit

I've been working on the same problem myself. Much of what I have read online talks about relocating the rear turn signals, which would then give you many more options related to choosing saddlebags. I am trying to avoid having to do that. I realize that keeping the stock turn signal location severely limits the size of any saddlebags I choose, however I am exploring that option before I decide to relocate the turn signals. Please let me know if you come up with something that works- and I will do the same.
