At the 2nd parts store "facepalm", I remembered that the engine was a Japanese rebuilt. 2003 Honda civic LX , 1.7 ltr,
The new filter for an original Honda engine is just a tad smaller on the far side, right and the (filter)screw hole doesn't line up.( bout a 1/4" off). The filter area doesn't fit flush.

There is too much "off" for me to make adjustments.

The closet part # I could find on the Japanese filter is. PP DT30. There was nothing else printed on the filter.
Does anyone know where I can look for a new filter?

 

welcome to the forum. you might think of a change over to a cold intake, legal for your state. it would be good breathing for the engine, and easier than trying to find the correct part.
