cluster illumination issue
 

hi all,
just wanted to share my fix to a known issue on the element,

the issue is of the cluster illumination going out, to which some have suggested a whack on top of the dashboard, which works for some, others have suggested the more involved procedure of wedging stuff in the (larger) green connector found behind the clustercluster.

the owner of the element i worked on had done both with success but unfortunately the luck had run out.

in my experience, the green connector is the culprit. my fix is to give a slight bend to the pin on the female connector (the one on the cluster itself) in order to force a better contact.
the pin is the one matching the (all) red wire on the pigtail, which is the bottom row, second one from passenger side (when the cluster is mounted).
