How difficult to remove driver-side rear body panel on 2004 Element?
 

The little door covering my 2004 Element's gap cap fell apart at the hinge and a piece of it, some kind of spring-tension clip, fell down into a gap and is now down inside the plastic body panel. How difficult is it to remove that panel to retrieve the piece, so I could try to reassemble it? My options for having a shop repair it would require both a morning of my time plus the cost of the parts and labor, so I'd like to take a crack at reassembling it myself. But I've never removed a panel and don't know what is involved. I don't think the door hinge mechanism can be fixed with the panel in place in any case, even if I end up taking it to a shop.
