2007 Honda Fit Automatic Hatchback
My wife doesn't drive very much but the last couple of times she has been out the fit stalled after taking her foot off the gas. One time when backing out the driveway and today when just driving around. She was able to turn the key and restart. Any possible things off the top of your head. She recently had the following done on the car: Scan test for error codes; ignition coils replaced; fuel injection purge; fuel injector carbon cleaned; oil change with new filter. Car was originally brought into to garage due to a check engine light which has been resolved. Not sure if current issue is related to any of the work done a few weeks back. The car does not do this every single time she is out but occurs at radom times. It wasn't stalling before they replaced the coil packs, we just had a check engine light on.They replaced 2 ignition coils as the codes P0303 & P0304 showed misfires #3 & #4.

Your car may need a valve adjustment.

welcome to the forum Agree with fastlane, I have a 07 fit, same thing happened to my car, had the valves adjusted and idle now smooth.

Thanks for the info, will drop it off at my local mechanic on the way to work and let you know how I made out.

The mechanic suggested replacing the spark plugs first, so I gave them the go ahead as that hadn't been changed in quite a while. They put it on the computer after the plugs were put in the the issue was still there but much less than before. They never mentioned anything else and I asked them to adjust the valve timing, this is being done tomorrow as the gaskets need to be replaced and they didn't have them in the shop at the time. They offered a loner car which was very helpful, so we'll see if that makes a difference.

hope they understand its the valve adjustment not timing adjustment.

So I got the spark plugs changed and a Valve Adjustment done, car purrs like a kitten. They said the rough idle and misfires was reduced after replacing the plugs but was not competely resolved. Valve adjustment nailed it. All is good, thanks for the advice as the shop never thought of the valve adjustment so I mentioned it based on forum members input. Awesome.
