So I bought a fit at 160k km a few months ago and the check engine light popped on a month in, shortly after I got an oil change. I ran the code and it says the tranny fluid is low, but when I checked the dipstick, it's not low. I cleared the code but it popped back up immediately.

The coolant light also started coming on intermittantly shortly after the engine light, but when I tried topping that up I found that the coolant was already just a tablespoon short of being full to the brim.

any ideas what I should check for?

welocme to the forum. with all the fluids full, when were any of the fluids replaced. possible codes due to fluids are in need of change,
