2015 Pilot Transmission Replaced - Question

2015 Pilot Needed Tranmission replaced already
We have a one year old Pilot. 2015 Pilot. We were told that there was a leak in the transmission and the transmission needed to be replaced. We found out that Honda replaced the transmission with a 'rebuilt transmission. When we said we were told by Service person we'd get a new transmission since car so new, they said they don't replace transmissions with new transmissions, even under warranty. They are saying they will NOT extend the warranty past 5 years from when we bought the car, will not replace the car etc....
They asked us what we thought we needed to be happy, and they offered us 500.00 in service credits. Should we accept that, should they be offering more? Or is this all standard practice given all the transmission issues Honda has had over the years. Our Odyssey transmission went at 140,000 miles.... Any advice on what we should ask for
is appreciated.

call american honda ( torrance Ca.) , they may give you better advise as what to do. also can call different dealers and ask them what they would do if the transmission went bad on your car. don't tell them you have it fixed yet. ( a rebuilt transmission by honda should be good if done and honda warranty given )
