Which to Buy?
Having trouble with values and would like overall opinions on these two prospects. Looking mainly for a reliable, older car for a lower pmt. Strictly commuter vehicle to work on highway 95% of time.
07 Civic LX coupe, 78k miles, pretty basic with no sunroof, etc. Listed for $8250 and I show $6500 at him with no go. 25k miles on tires. Auto.
04 Accord LX 4 cyl Listed for $8400 OBO. 4 door, says good tires, no sunroof, 62k miles. Auto.
Heard both have a timing chain?...so not overly worried about that?
Another I possibly was interested in but possibly moved away from is an 04 coupe LX, auto, 79k miles, new tires/struts/timing belt with warranty of some sort, but was backed into on pass rear bumper, so there is a bigger crack. Says he would do $6k.
Checked values and 04 is probably most reasonable. Trade on kbb is 7900/retail 10k+, Edmunds around 8k I think. 07 seems to be overpriced except on KBB. Anyone have opinions, please?
