Default HELP! SELLING Part# 79500-S5D-A01 (Honda Fan & Temp Control Switch)

I recently had a friend of mine take my 2002 Honda Civic in for AC repairs and was told by a mechanic it was the switch. He called the dealership and they said the part was $230. I immediately called my friend who works for Nissan and he said he could get the part from a Honda dealership at a discounted rate of $185. Since its electrical part it is NON-REFUNDABLE...I asked my friend to ask his mechanic if he was certain it was indeed the switch I was told yes. WRONG it did nothing and wasnt the issue. I took it to another place and found out it was the resistor. I went to the mechanic that diagnosed wrong and asked him politely to buy the part from me as I have no use for it and cannot return he told me to **** off and sue him. So now I am left with this part and am in dire need to recoup my money for it. Does anyone here need this part or know of someone who does??? I don't know what else to do....The part fits multiple Honda models and I have the receipt from the dealership.

Your first mistake was taking it to another place after it was misdiagnosed. If the dealer charged you for a repair and it did not solve your problem then you should have taken it back. Repairs are WARANTEED 12 months or 12k miles on parts and labor. Unless of course you bought the part and put it in yourself, then you are on your own. As far as the part you have, try Craigslist or Ebay to get your money back.

I sadly didnt get Honda to diagnose....I just bought the part from dealership. A really shifty mechanic misdiagnosed and then told me to screw off when it wasnt the right part
