Lightbulb Honda Fit in Peru?

I am looking to buy a Honda Fit to drive while im visiting Peru. I do buisness there and need a cheap, reliable, SAFE honda for the crazy city and rural streets. I believe the Fit is imported JDM to Tacna, a city along the southern border with Chile. In Tacna they convert RHD to LHD and distribute to Arequipa and Lima.

My Question is:
- Is this the only import path to Peru?
-do 2008+ JDM Fits have airbags? how many? side?

I have searched all over and i cant find the answer. maybe im just not good enough at searching :/

Thanks! There are definitely car rentals in peru, but i want to own one there. Thanks for the cali specs, but im looking at the JDM (japanese model) because those are the ones shipped to peru i believe, then converted to left hand drive.
